Commission: Satosere-Your Name

I think you all saw this in twitter way before I posted this here. A commission by PokemonRangerBoy12 , asking me to depict Satoshi and Serena as Taki and Mitsuha from the hit animated movie Kimi no Na Wa/ Your Name, specifically asking to mimic two artwork based on this movie, and I obliged. Of this work, I made a few minor adjustments to Taki's uniform as Satoshi was wearing it. I made the tie more loose, and the top of his shirt to mimic Satoshi's XY/Z outfit. Since Satoshi wears no black undershirt here, a bit of his chest is seen, giving him a more bad boy look. For Serena in Mitsuha's place, I had her hand on her chest/heart as it was the "Serena" thing for her to do. Of course when I think about it, it feels like as if her heart just skipped a beat after seeing Satoshi. As for the background, it is nearly the same as the original promotional artwork bur with a few major changes--clear to see here being the comet giving off a bright light. It is the fixture in this entire piece that draws the viewer's attention, essentially a keystone. In the original poster it was the sun that was giving off the light. As I was forced to contend with mimicking the background accurately of the reference image that I was given and there was no sun around, I had the comet glow instead as it was in the middle. Originally I wanted the comet to be above Satoshi and the meteor above Serena and have the ribbon glow instead. Because of my constraints however, the work turned our better than what I've exoected. A bit of serendipity there.
